It was a long pending visit planned and finally it happened on the Independence day . DhakshinChitra is located on East Coast Road , Chennai near Muttukadu boating camp. It is run by Madras Craft Foundation , a NGO and has been maintained very well . It has real houses built in various vernacular styles of south India and features cultural activities and games. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit , it was a day away from all hustle bustle of city life, enjoy some snaps.
